Abstract: Researchers from University of Tartu together with experts from other countries have significantly contributed to the development of research infrastructures outside of Estonia, funded within the framework of Estonian Research Infrastructures Roadmap. A good example of our international cooperation efforts is the joint Estonian-Finish beamline FinEstBeAMS, which is operating in the Swedish National Synchrotron Radiation Centre MAX IV Lab, located in Lund. In my talk the development of our beamline, its present state and future plans will be highlighted. The investments into FinEstBeAMS provide for Estonian researchers, PhD students and entrepreneurs access to the advanced experimental methods available at any of the beamlines of the MAX IV Lab. In addition to pioneering research performed at FinEstBeAMS, investigation of ultrafast scintillation processes for medical imaging will be discussed on basis of results obtained at FemtoMAX.
